(1) If an employee dies while in service or is unable to work, two children of such deceased or disabled employee will be given educational allowance at the rate of one thousand rupees per month until they reach the age of eighteen years.
(2) According to sub-rule (1), maximum two children of the deceased employee will be given monthly gratuity at the rate of the following percentage of the starting salary scale of the post held by the deceased employee until they reach the age of eighteen years:-- Percentage of the starting salary of the employee's position
(a) Secretary or equivalent – ​​6.5
(b) Joint Secretary and the like – 8
(c) Deputy Secretary and the like – 10
(d) Branch Officer and the like – 12
(e) Naib Subba and the like – 12
(f) Purchasers and the like – 12

(j) Uncategorized/Gazetted Fifth Category – 15 Explanation:- For the purpose of this rule, “offspring” means sons and daughters and adopted sons and daughters of the employee.
